TYLER — Today, KETK spoke with Smith County Republican Chair Ashton Oravetz and Congressman Louie Gohmert on what they think about Paul Ryan.
The two agreed that even though they don't always see eye to eye with him...at least he's an honest man.
KETK's Casey Claiborne reports.

I too, agree with President Romney's pick for Vice President Paul Ryan. We sure can't afford 4 more years of uncontrolled spending and lay offs.
If any of you have a Webster's handy, look up the word "sycophant"...with gomer calling willard honest not only laughable, it could possibly denote someone who fits the definition of "sycophant" fairly well...I have little respect for or put much credibility in a person's words who is a right-of-right ultra-conservative teavangelical repub who advocates for the willard/ryan plan to slash-and-burn seniors, those impacted by a repub-caused economy downturn, education, energy, etc. OBAMA 11/6/12.
Correction: gomer called ryan "honest"...he certainly couldn't have called willard honest. Calling ryan honest may have been accurate, after all...he honestly doesn't give a flying fig about seniors, students, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc...taking care of those who find themselves in economic or medical distress is honestly not his concern. The teavangelical repub ticket is only concerned with keeping the 5%ers happy...the rest of us can fend for ourselves & bear the tax burden?
I to agree with President Romney's pick for Vice President Paul Ryan.
