Chrsitians across the world are remembering Jesus' death on the cross.

On Good Friday, we're told it is not a day to celebrate but instead a day to remember Jesus dying for our sins.

Good Friday is a day of mouring and prayer for Christians across the world.

This is a day to remember how Jesus was arrested tortured and put to death on a cross.

For Christian's Good Friday represents the sacrifices and suffering's in Jesus' life.

"We need dark days sometimes. We need to remember its not all jumping up and down and saying glory hallelujah. There is a whole other side to life. Catholicism always recognizes and has to be celebrated in it's own way too," said Fr. Tim Kelly.

Fr. Kelly says Christians need to make a notion of devoting three days a year, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday to follow Jesus as he went to his cross.

"In every part of the world today everyone is cosmetic. On the hill of Calvary it didn't matter because God was stripped naked in front of the world and killed you talk about raw how raw do you get."

St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church have services going on all holy week.

A sacred place that attracts people, like Anne Daly, all the way from Houston.

Daly traveled 5 1/2 hours on a bus to celebrate Easter weekend at St. Mary Magadelene Church.

It's a trip she tries to make every year.

"It's just a beautiful place and the church is just out of this world. I can just sit in that church and talk to God with nobody around me. I have been there this morning and it's just peaceful," said Daly.
