Usually, the story goes: Firefighters rescued a cat stuck in a tree. Apparently, that's not the case in East Texas. In fact, it's in the opposite direction.

According to the Van Zandt County Fire Marshal's Office, authorities responded to reports of a cat stuck in a well in Myrtle Springs. Fire Marshall Charles Allen responded to the call and was able to pull the feline out using a bucket and long extension cord.

Once the kitten was out of the 30-foot well, it was dried off and placed back with the mother.
