Good Shepherd Medical Associates welcomes new executive

Longview, Texas (KETK) — Kristi Glover has accepted the position of Good Shepherd Medical Associates (GSMA) executive vice president and chief operating officer and will begin filling this role mid-September. In this newly created position, Glover will be responsible for the operations, growth and strategic vision of GSMA.
“We are looking forward to the leadership and vision that Kristi will bring to Good Shepherd,” said Steve Altmiller, Good Shepherd president and chief executive officer. “The Good Shepherd Medical Associates Board of Directors, GSMA providers and leaders within the Health System all supported the selection of Kristi as the new executive director.”
Glover has experience leading a multi-specialty group of more than 100 providers at multiple healthcare delivery sites, as well as experience in the development of physician leadership, strategic vision and aggressive growth strategies. Most recently, she has served chief operating officer at Piedmont HealthCare, where she demonstrated great leadership and led successful initiatives critical to organizational growth and transformation. Over her 20 year career, Glover has served as Chief Executive Officer of for-profit physician networks ranging in size from 45 providers at 14 sites to 138 providers at 42 sites located in Missouri and Texas.

She earned her bachelor of health sciences degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia in Columbia and master of health administration degree from Saint Louis University. Glover is a member of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA), COO Leadership Council of AMGA and the Medical Group Management Association. She is also a graduate of the “Idealized Design of Clinical Office Practice” project from the Institute of Healthcare Improvement.
