The Guv spent enough money on his temporary dwelling and renovation project to insure 1,000's of poor Texans for a year. Priorities, folks, priorities. Will the voters remember this come election time? Doubtful.
I don't know many people who are not astounded when they get bills for hospital care, pharmaceuticals, and simple visits to their physician. Can you recall when pharmacies charged the same price to all customers? Can you recall when drug prices were reasonable and affordable? Can you remember when a hospitalization didn't raise the fear of financial ruin.
Can we blame Obama for trying?
Can I have the same insurance protection you have Mr. Governor? Or am I still excluded from your "group?"

He is against it because he makes more than $250 thousand on the side because is salary is only $115 thousand and he will pay a higher medicare tax on his earnings of $250 thousand or more. REMEMBER HE BECAME A MILLIONAIRE JUST LAST DECEMBER ON HIS 115 THOUSAND A YEAR SALARY. WOW THAT JUST DOES NOT ADD UP...IF HE SAVED EVERY DIME OF HIS SALARY AS GOV. FROM DAY ONE HE WOULD ONLY HAVE ABOUT 900 THOUSAND DOLLARS. HOW DID HE BECOME A MILLIONAIRE? CORRUPTION
If he was writing to our Congress people from Texas, I can understand his soft language, but if he was addressing Congress as a whole, he should've used stronger language.
I hope that he will move to protect Texas if this bill does pass - we don't need to pay for elective abortions, etc. etc.
THIS BILL PROHIBITS YOUR TAX DOLLARS FROM BEING USED FOR ABORTION. ALL THIS BILL DOES IS ALLOW PEOPLE TO PURCHASE INSURANCE FOR ABORTION WITH THEIR OWN MONEY AND NOT TAX DOLLARS AND AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, THERE ARE NO INSURANCE COMPANIES THAT SELL ABORTION INSURANCE ANYWAY SO WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?
