Grants available for East Texas landowners affected by 2011 wildfires

Longview, TX — Landowners who lost timber in the 2011 wildfires may be eligible for funding assistance.
Farm Service Agency is offering up to 75 percent cost share through the Emergency Forest Restoration Program.
FSA began accepting applications Monday. Deadline to apply for assistance is April 29.
Owners of non-industrial, private forestland in 16 Texas counties may be eligible for assistance. Those counties include Anderson, Bastrop, Cass, Cherokee, Gregg, Grimes, Harrison, Houston, Leon, Marion, Nacogdoches, Rusk, Smith, Trinity, Upshur and Walker.
