(CNN) — A Wisconsin mother says a hidden camera captured video of their in-home therapist abusing her three-year-old autistic son.
Three-year-old Caeden Lowe is clearly terrified of his in-home therapist, Stephen Jacobs, 27.
In this video given to CNN by Caeden's parents, Jacobs is seen elbowing the boy in the head, hitting him with pillows, and even head-butting him during a session earlier this month.
Jacobs, a Wauwatosa therapist, is now facing felony charges of abusing a child during a therapy session.
His mother, very emotional, tells CNN that she suspect something was up but nothing like this.
"If I hadn't put a video camera downstairs, we would've never known," said mother, Stephanie Lowe.
According to the criminal complaint, Jacobs was one of several therapists from Autism Intervention of Milwaukee providing treatment to Caeden who suffers from severe authism and cannot communicate with his parents.
The mother told investigators it appeared her son was not improving from the on-going sessions. So she and her husband decied to install a web camera to record her son's in-home visits.
"It was on the second day that Stephanie recorded Jacobs that she saw the physical abuse,"
"In fact she was able to witness everything happening in real time upstairs on her iPad."
Stephanie tells CNN she's already received calls from other parents whose autistic children had sessions with Jacobs.
Police say it's an open investigation but have not had any official new cases.
Jacobs told investigators he doesn't recall assaulting Caeden, he said he had been studying for a college exam on his computer.
Autism Intervention of Milwaukee told CNN they are duscussing the allegatins with their other therapists.
