TYLER -- A failing grade, that's what Grassroots America says they're giving TISD officials and now, the group says, news charges could end the debate. Tyler Junior College joined in with six other local schools this morning to endorse the TISD bond. They say it's the right thing to do. Meanwhile, opponents were hard at work digging up brand new charges to put the argument to rest.

Grassroots America we the people says TISD claims if the 2010 bond election is passed they will build one new elementary school and fix up two others. They claim there will be no need for a new elementary school in the future but, grassroots members say in less than five years, 50% of all elementary schools will be at capacity. Grassroots America says they got their information straight from Tyler ISD's website.

Pages of information were sent to us from the group outlining bond cost from 2004, 2008, and the upcoming 2010 bond. Grassroots America's Joann Fleming says the problem is not the school's, it's the attendance zones which lead to some schools not using their full potential.

They claim if the school attendance zones were correct TISD wouldn't not be spending money to build schools that are too small.
