LONGVIEW - Texas Rangers and Gregg County Sheriff's investigators are investigating the death of an in-custody inmate.

Gregg County jail staff personnel found the inmate unresponsive at about 11:00 Saturday morning.

Officials say the inmate had been in custody since June 2nd.

The identity of the inmate has not been released.

The body is headed to Dallas to determine the cause of death.
