Gregg County officials search for man who killed bicyclist in July hit and run

GREGG COUNTY —
Gregg County Crime Stoppers is seeking information on the hit & run fatality which occurred at the intersection of Rice Rd and Debbie Street in the Liberty City area on July 22nd, 2011 around 5:00 pm.
The victim, Brain Scott Carr was standing with his bicycle at the intersection, when he was struck by a White Van knocking him and the bicycle into the bar ditch.
Carr was able to provide information to DPS Trooper Dillard that the van was occupied by a black male. The driver of the van failed to stop and proceeded driving west on Rice Rd.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later passed away due to injuries sustained in the accident.
The vehicle should have damage to the right front and right side mirror.
Gregg County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the subject or subjects responsible for this case.
