GREGG COUNTY — A quick-witted woman survived a harrowing experience Monday when three men broke into her home on North Judson Road, assaulted her, bound her with duct tape and shoved her into the trunk of her car.

Diane Johnson, a relative of the victim, said the woman and intruders startled each other about mid-morning.

Johnson said it appeared the suspects broke into the house thinking it was unoccupied.
