Gulf foundation’s move puts Galveston in spotlight

Moving headquarters from Corpus to Galveston
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; Gulf of Mexico Foundation is moving its headquarters from Corpus Christi to a planned $7.1 million education center on Galveston, putting the island in the national spotlight for conservation programs.
“If we live up to our vision, we really could put Galveston on the map as the epicenter of habitat restoration technology,” Quenton R. Dokken, president and CEO of the foundation, told The Galveston Daily News.
