Gun sales on the rise after Obama's re-election

FBI reports an 18 percent spike in firearm background checks

The Houston Chronicle is reporting; owners of some Houston gun shops noticed an increase of gun sales since President Obama's re-election, and attribute the rush to the president's reference in a debate to renewing an assault rifle ban.

With the rise in sales, could one conclude that Americans are preparing to go to war with Americans? Can one presume that the uptick in gun sales means the soon-to-be minority White population is gearing up to make it's Alamo-like last stand against those with different skin colors? Has this country become so "us against them, I/me/mine" that those of us who are not militant, who do not condemn a race because of color/religion/ethnicity, need to fear those with full gun safes? Answer, please.
