Hall of Fame rodeo clown, JP dies at 72
Tyler, Texas (KETK) — One of the biggest names in Texas rodeo history has passed away.
Justice of the Peace and hall of fame rodeo clown, Marvin “Quail” Dobbs, passed away at his home, Thursday, in Coahoma, Texas.
Dobbs was a fan favorite at the Gladewater Round Up Rodeo and Angelina County Benefit Rodeo.
Services for the beloved comedian and friend to many who was born in Albany, Texas, will be held Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m., in Big Spring. In addition, visitation will be held Saturday at Nalley Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel from 5:00 p.m, - 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Marvin "Quail" Dobbs has been set for Sunday, Jan. 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery. There will also be a visitation this Saturday at Nalley Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Dobbs was 72.
