If you're searching for a way to keep your children from a sugar overload this halloween...

One local dentist is offering to pay you for their candy, and it's all for a good cause.

Denistry for Children's Dr. Culberson Boren and his staff are offering to buy back your children's halloween candy.

"We decided instead of trusting them to throw it away that we would do a candy buy back," said Dr. Boren.

fFor every pound of candy you bring in, they'll give you one dollar!

Plus, every child will get a new toothbrush.

Denistry for Children wants to everyone to enjoy their halloween candy, but more importantly prevent cavities.

Dr. Boren says sticky and chewy candies are the worst for your teeth so you can bring those back to them.

Instead of the staff enjoying all of the candy, they have decided to pair with adopt-a-box and send the collected candy to East Texas troops overseas.

"Maybe I can send it over there, and give them a few cavities," said Boren jokingly.

Polly Morman started Adopt-A-Box seven years ago to help out just one soldier, but now it provides numerous soldiers with boxes full of supplies and love.

"It brings them a little bit of home, it lets them know that somebody here is thinking about them and cares... whether they have Halloween," said Morman.

That is a big ripoff ! This dr needs to go buy his own candy and send it overseas . Parents pay well over that per pound for candy . I work in retail and I see parents waste their hard earned money on these kinds of things . If he is gonna do that do more the kids by giving them free cleaning and free services when they need it .
