The three Hallsville city councilmen who voted to reinstate the officers who were terminated in December are up for re-election.

Hallsville City Secretary Laura Welch said John Burciaga, Kevin Jones and Jeff Griffith will all be up for re-election in May.

Welch said filing began Feb. 6.

Burciaga, Jones and Griffith voted to reinstate Police Chief Greg Scott, Sgt. Mack Fuller and officer T.C. Livingston in this past week’s city council meeting. James Mizell and Doris Coleman voted not to reinstate the officers and are not up for re-election.
