Hasan declines to give closing argument in shooting of Ft. Hood soldiers case
Texas (CNN) — Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, who admitted killing 13 people and wounding 32 others in November 2009, declined to give closing statement at court-martial on Thursday.
Hasan also said jurors shouldn't be allowed to consider lesser charges because he did not shoot soldiers at Fort Hood in "the heat of sudden passion."
A judge gave instructions to the jury of 13 officers before closing arguments began.
The jury will now deliberate the fate of Hasan.
