Hawkins ISD will remain closed Wednesday due to fire

Hawkins — Hawkins ISD Superintendent tells KETK school will be cancelled Wednesday.

Mr. Rose says Hawkins Mayor Bradley and EPA officials said firefighters had not made enough progress to clear the smoke from the area.

Superintendent Rose said they had shut down the server, computer access and air conditioning units Tuesday, so that the fumes of the fire would not be drawn into the building.
