Hawkins teen dies after flag football game

A Hawkins High School student died Thursday, a day after sustaining a head injury while playing flag football in his high school athletics class.
Hawkins authorities say Jacob Gatlin, 15, of Hawkins died on Thursday morning of a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma. Jacob was not taken by ambulance from the school after the injury, but went home, where he started feeling ill. He was taken to a local hospital by EMS, and later to Dallas Children's Hospital, where he died at 9:36 am Thursday.
Funeral details have not been released at this time.
