Longview, TX — An eight-inch water main ruptured this morning causing water to gush from an area on FM 14 near Veteran's Memorial Park in Hawkins.

No residents are without service, but service will be stopped to about 670 customers when service on the line begins.

According to Janis Smith, Hawkins City Secretary, repairs cannot begin until ordered equipment arrives. City crews are expected to be working all night.
