Head-on collision on Hwy. 31

5:51 p.m. - Officials on the scene say several people were injured in the crash and one person is being taken to an unknown hospital by helicopter.
No word yet if anyone was killed in the accident.
Police say a person driving a truck turned out of his driveway on to Highway 31 and was hit by another truck head-on.
Traffic is moving slowly at this time.
Crews are clearing the wreck. Authorities could not determine when the wreck will be cleared.
5:10 p.m. - KETK crew reports: ETMC chopper has landed on Hwy. 31. We will continue to bring you updates as they come in.
5:04 p.m. - Smith County officials have just been dispatched to a two vehicle head on collision on Hwy. 31, near County Road 236.
The road is blocked off, no word yet of what injuries may be involved.
There are reports of an ETMC helicopter landing in the roadway.
