As you drive around East Texas and see someone working out in the heat, doing something that would make you break a sweat even in the wintertime...you tend to feel awful for them.

But not all businesses *hate* the heat...some love it.

Recently, KETK brought you a story on how busy air conditioning repair has been this summer.  Coy Dodd Air Conditioning told us business is up 20 to 30% due to the heat.

Also - the pool business...

A-1 Pool & Spa in Tyler says the water temperature is so hot, people are having to buy more chemicals.

So they're selling a lot more than last year.

Another thriving profession - irrigation.

Express Lawn Sprinklers tells KETK, they're so busy right now, the wait time for a service call is a week.

And last but certainly not least - ice cream.

"We have to bring in extra people and we have cars wrapped around the building and a line out to the sign in the front and...it's crazy but we love it and we work hard.  And we love serving people," said Lynsey Stackhouse with Andy's Frozen Custard in Tyler.

So we want to know, what's the heat doing to your job?

Are you melting?

Or making money?

I work at Mazzios, and the heat is killing us, it is usually in the mid 80's inside of our building on a regular basis, if we are lucky too. On some days it can get upwards to 100 degrees inside. And that is with a/c. But for business it is supposed to be our busy time of year, but its been slow this year, I guess a lot of people's "pizza" money is going to keeping cool. All i can say is I can not wait until Winter again.
