The Henderson City Council officially accepted a separation agreement with former City Manager Mike Barrow at its Tuesday night meeting.

Mayor Pat Brack said she couldn’t go into details about the agreement, but that both Barrow and the council members were satisfied with it.

“I hate to lose him, he’s done a good job for the city,” Brack said.

Barrow submitted his resignation, pending the separation agreement, at a special city council meeting this past week. Neither Barrow nor council members have been specific about the reasons for his departure.

He served as city manager since May of 2010 and a city employee since 2000.

Fire chief Rusty Chote is serving as interim city manager, while still maintaining his duties with the fire department.
