Henderson — The Henderson City Council got an up-close look Tuesday at renovations to turn the old armory into the new police station.

“I’m amazed by how much room there is,” said Mayor Pat Brack. “Relocating here will help the police department not only by giving them more space, but by providing easier access to the park and highway.”

The armory is at 600 Sand St., in Lake Forest Park near the Henderson Civic Center.
