School Closings, Severe Weather

Henerson Middle School will be closed for the remainder of the day due to power outages.
School District officials say, parents can come pick up their students at 9:00 this morning, at their regular pick up place.
At 10:00, if not all students have been picked up, the school will consider sending busses to get students back home.
All other campuses in Henderson I.S.D. will remain open.
Carlisle I.S.D. will close due to power loss.
Superintendent Mike Payne says parents can come pick up their at school now at their usual pick up location.
Starting at 11 A.M., busses will run, taking students home whose parents could not come pick them up.
East Texas Christian in Longview has closed for the day because of power outages.
In Longview, severe weather hit this morning, prompting an Emergency Command Post in the Longview Heights area.
Here's a what Kevin Brownlee with the Longview Police Department said this morning:
"There's so much storm damage in the area that the Fire Department has activated an Emergency Command Post in the Longview Heights subdivision. They have cordoned off the neighborhood."
Longview Police also issued this severe weather statement this morning:
"Residents in the Longview Heights area are urged to stay inside of their homes due to downed power lines. Emergency crews are on the scene now."
