Henderson Syrup Festival offers peek at 19th-century life
Henderson — Things might get a little sticky Saturday in Henderson, but the 25th Heritage Syrup Festival should provide a sweet time for all.
The festival is centered on old-time syrup making, but has expanded over the years to feature a variety of folk arts, entertainment, arts and crafts, food and shopping options, said Vickie Armstrong, executive director of The Depot Museum, which organizes the event.
“One of the highlights for a lot of people is the hay ride, which serves as a shuttle between the two locations for the festival: the museum and the downtown area,” Armstrong said.
