Hiway 80 Rescue Mission is in critical need of food. Due to an increase in homeless men, women and children seeking refuge from the heat the mission is sleeping 139 people each night, an increase of 25 people. The mission is feeding 650 meals per day, an increase of 150 meals per day.

Thirteen churches (see list below) are doing a Hunger Game Food Drive to help during this time of increased needs. The Hunger Game Food Drive is a contest between the local youth groups to help replenish our canned food shelves. The winning youth group gets to dunk their youth pastor in the dunking booth.

We are asking the general public to join in to help with our critical need for donations of food during the summer months. We are in desperate need of fresh and canned fruits and vegetables.
