Home Sales on the Rise
August 21, 2009 - 7:41pm
TYLER - Finally, there's good news when it comes to the economy. Home sales are rising.
According to a new report, existing home sales aren't just rising, they're setting records.
The report shows single-family home sales jumped by more than seven percent this July compared to June, and they're up five percent compared to July 2008.
The jump from June to July is reportedly the largest increase since records started being kept ten years ago.
In Tyler, real estate agents say home sales have improved recently.
They say there have been more first-time buyers because of the tax credit, and many buyers are coming armed with more education than ever.
