Tyler, Texas — Tyler Police have arrested a Lancaster man in connection with the fire in the 2800 block of N. Whitten Ave.

John Beck is currently in the Smith County Jail.

The Tyler Fire Department is on the scene of a two-alarm structure fire in the 2800 block of N. Whitten Ave. Fire crews reported heavy smoke conditions upon arrival. Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a district chief and an investigator, are currently on the scene.

The Tyler Fire Marshal’s Office is at the location and will investigate the cause of the fire upon completion of suppression operations.

No injuries have been reported.
