WASHINGTON (AP) - The Democratic-controlled Congress has
approved historic legislation extending health care to tens of
millions of Americans who lack it and cracking down on insurance
company abuses.
The vote in the House was 219-212. Republicans were unanimously
opposed. The bill now goes to President Barack Obama for his
signature.
The action late Sunday capped a yearlong quest by Obama and
Democrats to overhaul the system and reshape a sixth of the
economy.
Awesome news! My Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson stock will be going up since now the company will have a GUARANTEED customer in the government for as long as they have the contracts. Just like my Biomarin stock did with the socialized medical systems of Europe.
THIS IS A GREAT DAY FOR CAPITALISM!!!!!
I have a question for those who think this is wonderful news. Now that the Omnipetent Government is overseeing "heath care" and insurance companies will be all but gone, who are you going to blame when Granma, Aunt Molly or little Timmy STILL does not get the needed organ transplant, or sits in an emergency room for hours trying to get trauma care? Who are you going to turn to when you're told "That's not covered"? You can't sue the federal government.

This is doubly wonderful news....if it actually leads to reform of our miserable health system, that means Rush Limbaugh will waddle on down to Costa Rica for his medical needs and I can quit going down there for mine!
100's of thousands of our forefathers have died fighting comunisum in every coutry around the world are any of those people going to help us in our of need. Our government is out of control. How much more do they expect from the people. God only ask for 10% our gov. is already getting over 50% of everything you make. Do we have demacrats or communist running this country. Huesin obama has riased taxes on everything he can think of since he,s been there. How stupid does he think we are, or are we that stupid? Buddy
Historic moment -- Washington paid some attention to our own people!
I hope anyone in Washington who voted for this ends up in Prison. This marks a very sad day.
