Tuesday is the official birthday of “the oldest county in Texas”

Lufkin — The Lufkin Daiyl News is reporting; Houston County is preparing to celebrate its 175th anniversary Tuesday with 2,500 cupcakes.

While festivities have been ongoing since the end of last month, Tuesday is the official birthday of “the oldest county in Texas.”
