If you're an effective parent, if your children look up to you and trust your word, if you give them a good foundation of your reasonable, thoughtful, faith-based belief system (should you have one), and if you do your best to channel positive media influences to impressionable young minds, then you won't have to worry about your kids...suppose suz would prefer all children to be kept under lock and key, like mushrooms growing in the dark.

Matters of the heart my foot, I could care less if it was just about benefits, but its not and anyone with any sense at all knows it, its about giving perverts rights. I don't care what they do behind closed doors " that's their business " and benefits " no problem ", but when they are allowed to get married and display their sick behavior in public, on TV, etc, that's going way to far, it also sends the wrong message to kids essentially telling them that it is accepted and OK to act that way.

Houston decided it has no business in matters of the heart...that it can't dictate who and when people are supposed to love...and decided to treat committed partners fairly in regards to benefits offered by the city. This will cause many evangelical right-of-right conservatives to have ulcers, but get over it...unless you want observers in your home and bedroom, don't think you have the right to dictate what even one other person does. I'm straight and wouldn't dare intrude on another's life!
