Houston wants to block registrations for those with unpaid traffic tickets

Two years ago, a similar proposal involving red-light camera runners was rebuffed by the county

The Houston Chronicle is reporting; The city has a new plan for going after scofflaws - no registration sticker until you pay those speeding tickets.

Municipal Court Presiding Judge Barbara Hartle has a proposal on Wednesday's City Council agenda to sign an agreement with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles that would have the state refuse to issue vehicle registrations to people who have outstanding traffic fines.

This is just another example of our government overgrowing its britches, and continually kicking someone when they are down! Dont they realize that if your having trouble paying a ticket now and you get pulled over because of a sticker they are just making the problem worse for those who are trying to do the right thing. To those officers who dont support this type of action I applaud you,why because most you are starting to realize its just another way for them to get you to criminalize someone
