Hundreds attend actor's funeral

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Celebrities, fans, friends and family members
are saying goodbye to Tony Curtis during a Las Vegas funeral
service celebrating the movie star's life.
Hundreds of guests stood as services began Monday at a funeral
chapel in Las Vegas.
The 85-year-old died Wednesday of cardiac arrest at his home in
Henderson.
Longtime friend and pall bearer Gene Kilroy says Curtis' sixth
wife, Jill Curtis, planned to eulogize her husband of 16 years.
A crowd lined up Monday outside Palm Mortuary & Cemetery well
before the funeral.
Inside, seven colorful paintings by Curtis stood on easels while
a film tribute began memorializing the young, dark-haired star of
such films as "The Defiant Ones," "Spartacus" and "Some Like
It Hot."
