In Texas, there are some high holy days we all observe.
Along with Christmas, Easter and the 4th, you have to add deer season.
And this year’s season looks to be much better.
And it won’t be long before the air gets a little colder, and hunters start crunching through the woods looking for the perfect deer.
And their odds are better this year than last.
There were some worries back in July as the first two cases of chronic wasting disease were found in west Texas.
But, it appears to have been contained .
And not every season is going to be great.
Dove season is a little spotty this year.
But the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says outlook overall is very good.
