Hwy. 271 Kills 4-year-old Boy

SMITH COUNTY — A deadly wreck in Smith County takes the life of a four-year-old boy Wednesday night.
Smith County Department of Public Safety State Troopers say the boy was ejected from the vehicle. The truck overturned on Highway 271 North at the Smith-Gregg County line.
Officials say the child's mother and grandmother, along with four other children, were in the truck at the time of the wreck.
Three of the children, along with the driver of the truck, Becky Caton, and the Grandmother were taken to a local hospital. Another child was flown to a Dallas hospital. there is no word on their condition at this time.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation at this time.
