Independence Day festivities at Whitehouse City Park

WHITEHOUSE, TEXAS (KETK) — The independence day celebration continues. Whitehouse city park welcomed East Texas for a full day of fun.
"It's a great opportunity to have the public come out and be a park of this and enjoy all the vendors and food and see all what Whitehouse has to offer," said Kelvin Fox, City of Whitehouse. From the Lonestar BBQ cook-off, car show, live music and entertainment for kids. Some families cooled down at the splash park evening of fireworks.
"It's great to bring the community together, it's a small town, and it does have the community feel and that's one thing about Keeping Whitehouse Beautiful," said Dorothy Laflure.
"Beautiful car and a beautiful day, we love celebrating our independence even though it's a day after, but with Whitehouse all these beautiful cars and all these great people out here," said Tom Goulter.
Location: Whitehouse City Park off of Main St. near railroad tracks.
