Lufkin ,Tx — A federal indictment naming two Angelina County men as the ring leaders of a methamphetamine conspiracy that led to the arrests of eight was released this week.
The indictment alleges that Harold Neyland, 65, and Don Campbell, 38, led Tabitha Hopson, Laura Dixon, Mark Helton, Frank Lopez Jr., Leia Lopez and Melissa Dixon in a meth cooking ring.
The federal investigation dates to 2007 with the inspection of East Texas-area pseudoephedrine logs from 13 different counties. From 2007 to July 2012, members of the group made 50 pseudoephedrine purchases, the indictment stated. They would also reportedly travel to a Houston-area chemical company to get another ingredient for their meth recipe.
