Information on Cherokee County swine flu vaccine

UNDATED - Effective December 11, 2009, the H1N1 vaccine priority groups will officially expand to include the general public.

Cherokee County Health Department now has a good supply of vaccine with new shipments arriving on a regular basis.

Cherokee County Health Department has scheduled H1N1 vaccination clinics three times each week as follows:

Mondays - 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Rusk Clinic at 593 N. Main

Wednesdays - 1 p.m.-7 p.m. Jacksonville Clinic at 510 E. Commerce

Fridays - 1 p.m.-7 p.m. Rusk Clinic at 593 N. Main

During the week of Christmas, H1N1 clinic will only be held on Monday.

Children under the age of nine will require two vaccinations that are given approximately one month apart.

H1N1 vaccinations are being provided at no cost to the public. For additional information, please call the Cherokee County Health Department at (903) 683-6142.
