Investigators arrest man in connection with Winters Park Homicide

On Wednesday, September 29, Tyler Police Investigators arrested Sharieff Hussein Dean, B/M, 07/13/1949, pursuant to an arrest warrant for Capital Murder For Retaliation.

The arrest warrant was issued on September 29, 2010 by Smith County Judge Jack Skeen, Jr. The bond was set at $1,000,000 by Judge Skeen. This arrest is in connection with the murder of Ronnie "Goldie" Kemp at W.E. Winters, (Peach Park) that occurred on July 5, 2010. Investigators anticipate additional arrests in this case.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are asked to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.



On the night of 07-05-10, Officers were dispatched to the Winters Park at 910 S. Peach Street in Tyler in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located the body of a Ronnie Dewayne Kemp, B/M, age 48, of Tyler in the park.

Investigators were called to the scene and the investigation is being treated as a homicide. The case is still under investigation at this time.
