Jack Stallard is the Sports Editor of the Longview News-Journal.

He covered a coach winning his 300th game.

Mark Comfort reached that milestone at Sabine High School Tuesday night.

Stallard spoke with KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner about that big night.

"It was a great night for Sabine coach Mark Comfort. He's been successful everywhere he's gone. He started at Pine Tree. He won 87 games there. He won 150 games at Spring Hill and took them to a state tournament. He's got 63 wins at Sabine. They're headed to the playoffs again. He does a great job. He's also the head football coach and athletic director. He loves softball. His team plays hard. This is a good solid team. Last night, they hit the ball and Jayden Mount threw a no-hitter. It was a no-doubter for Coach Comfort to get that 300th win. I look for them to do some damage in the playoffs."
