Jack Stallard talked with KETK's Danny Elzner about something new for this football season.

Some East Texas teams will play on Saturday nights.

Stallard said, "Longview coach John King is hosting this event. He said this is good for Longview High School and it's also good for East Texas football fans. There will be four games involving eight playoff teams. Ore City will play Hughes Springs, Arp will play West Rusk, Henderson will play Gilmer and Jefferson will play Harmony. They get to play at Lobo Stadium. It's the KYKX Saturday Night Game of the Week. It's a two-year deal. They're hoping to play ten games in 2014. It's a lot of extra football for East Texas fans."
