Jack Stallard impressed with Longview Lobos

He's the Sports Editor of the Longview News-Journal.
Jack Stallard talked with KETK's Danny Elzner about the Longview Lobos.
Stallard said, "This could be a special season for the Lobos. They've all been good seasons lately. Longview has been a powerhouse.
I think they will continue to do so under John King. This year they've got a starting quarterback back. The kid threw for over 2,400 yards last year, 22 touchdowns and only five interceptions. That was his first real chance to be the man. Bivins Caraway really lit it up. When you have that coming back that's a key at any level. In 5A, that's huge to have a starting quarterback with experience. Tory White is coming back. He wasn't even the #1 running back last year. He had 700 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. The big thing for the Lobos will be their defense. Coach King has said this is going to be a great defense. He calls DeMarkus Lathan, an All-State linebacker, the best defensive player he's coached."
