Jack Stallard is the Sports Editor of the Longview News-Journal.

He praised Longview legend Bobby Taylor.

The former Lobo has been voted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame.

Stallard said...

"I've covered sports in East Texas for 25 years. I'd put Bobby Taylor at the top of the list as far as great athletes. He was a three-year starter with the Lobos, signed with Notre Dame, played in the NFL for ten years, was a All-Pro player. He could have done anything in any sport. He played basketball. He was one of the top players on their state championship team. Just nothing this kid couldn't do. It's a great honor for Bobby and it's a great honor for Longview."
