Jack Stallard spoke with KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner about the Hallsville Bobcats.

Hallsville will play in the state tournament for the first time Thursday night.

Stallard said...

"They haven't been afraid of talking about winning. Baseball guys are usually superstitious. They want to take it one game at a time. But they've been talking about winning the state championship from day one. They've kept that goal front and center. They're a very confident team. You can talk all you want but it won't do you any good if you don't back it up. Hallsville's loaded. Eight players have at least 15 runs batted in. Coach Scott Mitchell has been at Hallsville for 15 years. He's got 340 wins. He's never had a losing season there. They've got a good chance to win it all."
