Here is what he told KETK's Danny Elzner about the upcoming game between the Lobos and the Panthers.

"The Lobos are coming off a tough loss to the #1 team in the state. Longview was stunned by what happened to them. Allen steamrolled them. Longview will be looking to bounce back this week."

"This has become a huge rivalry. Lufkin had a huge win over Nacogdoches. I used to cover that annual game. It was death, taxes and Lufkin over Nacogdoches in football. They rolled over the Dragons and they're coming to Lobo Stadium. Longview will have their hands full again this week."

Longview will host Lufkin Friday night.
