Jack Stallard talked with KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner about Kilgore and White Oak.
The Kilgore Bulldogs will play a Stephenville team that knocked Kilgore out of the playoffs last year.
Stallard said "It's a rematch Kilgore is really looking forward to. I followed the 2004 team when they won a state championship. This team reminds me of that team. They play great defense, they throw when they have to, but mostly they line up and run the ball down your throat. Just a phenomenal rushing attack for the Bulldogs. They rushed for 513 yards and eight touchdowns last week against a good Chapel Hill team. The last two weeks they've rushed for 996 yards and 15 touchdowns. They're averaging 9.6 yards per carry. If you do that, you're going to win some football games."
White Oak is having its best season since 1970.
Stallard said "White Oak's defense is solid. They shutout a Franklin team that had been averaging 48 points per game. They blanked them. They force turnovers. They get after the quarterback. They're giving up just 16 points per game in the playoffs against some really good offensive football teams."
White Oak will play Cameron Yoe Friday night at 7:30 at Eagle Stadium in Allen.
Kilgore will play Stephenville Saturday at 2:00 in Corsicana.
