Jacksonville aggravated robbery suspect arraigned
JACKSONVILLE — The man police believe is responsible for a string of armed robberies in Jacksonville has been arraigned in Cherokee County.
Kendall Lucas was arraigned by Jacksonville Municipal Judge B.K. Menefee late Friday Morning.
Lucas’ bonds were set at $200,000.00 each on three aggravated robbery charges, $150,000.00 each on three unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and also $1,500.00 on a charge of "hindering a secured creditor".
The charge of hindering a secured creditor is unrelated to the investigation into the string of armed robberies.
Lucas was arrested on Thursday morning, just after midnight at the Jacksonville Square Apartments.
The Jacksonville Police Department says the numerous tips they received were instrumental in linking Lucas to the robberies and ultimately to his capture.
