Jacksonville, Texas (Jacksonville Area Art Council) — Jacksonville Area Art Council’s Second Annual Autumn Art Festival will be held Saturday, October 26, in downtown Jacksonville.
This year, the they will be honoring the 60’s. Downtown merchants, artists and vendors pay homage to the era in 60’s dress with an attitude to match. This free event features the work of local and area artists whose work includes sculpture, pottery, mixed media, photography, wooden vessels, digital art, pastels, jewelry, face painting and more.
Artists will be displaying and selling their work from 9am until 5pm in the entire block of Commerce Street between Main and Bolton. In case you’re new to the neighborhood, Commerce is the street that runs under the overpass in Jacksonville.
Downtown merchants will be hosting Artists’ venues inside and outside of our storefronts on Commerce and we’re excited to have you come share in the fun and get into the 60’s frame of mind.
We’ll have a car show; no judging, no trophies, no entry fees…just bring your precious baby in so everyone can appreciate your good taste in the classics! Contact Frank Dase for details at 903-316-3901.
