A Jacksonville Fire Department veteran has now been named the newest Whitehouse Fire Chief.

Madison Johnson who served with the Jacksonville Fire Department for about 13 years, and has already been part-time at the Whitehouse Fire Department will now take the reigns as chief.

He is starting full-time on Monday, October 7,  and will be working Monday - Friday.

"Johnson met all the requirements and interviewed well," said Whitehouse City Manager, Kevin Huckabee. "Johnson has background in business he will be a great addition to the department and move it in the right direction."
